Round Annapurna Trek
The Around Annapurna trek used to be one of the most famous trekking destinations in the world before road access. Now, half of this route is off-road, so the trekking path goes above and below the off-road sections and sometimes along the road as well. However, traffic is quite minimal, with only 5-10 vehicles seen per day.
Despite these changes, the Around Annapurna trek remains very popular among trekkers due to its wide range of vegetation, extensive landscapes, and diverse peaks. The trek also offers remarkable cultural diversity. There is a huge holy glacier lake known as Tilicho Lake, situated at 4,919 meters high. Some trekkers visit Tilicho Lake, while others do not, depending on their time constraints. The trek also features the famous Thorong La Pass, which is 5,316 meters high. After crossing Thorong La, trekkers enter another valley known as Mustang Valley or the world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Valley.
